We found a weird behaviour of the related posts block. Up until a few weeks ago, it worked as it should. Not it seem that it completely ignores the settings (categories, tags or both) and shows unrelated posts, often from years ago.
Is there a bug you know about or is this something you are not aware of? I can provide more information if needed.
In version 2.4 and above, we introduced new orders for related posts, with the default set to random to display a wider variety of posts. This might be causing the issue you're experiencing. To resolve this, please navigate to Theme Options > Single Posts > Related & Popular > Order By, and select relevance if you prefer the old filter.
