    Hello,

I would like to report an issue regarding the post view count.

On the single post pages, once you opened a post, the number of views used to be displayed. However, it is no longer visible now.

I’m not sure why this is happening because, as you can see from the attached screenshots, everything appears to be correctly enabled and configured.

I would appreciate your help in understanding what might have happened and how to restore the display of the post view count.

    The screenshots are attached.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

You can go to Theme Options > Single Post > Entry Meta > Custom Key Input, then enter the following keys:

    author, view, comment, bookmark

After that, please click Save Changes and check the result again.

Additionally, please review the settings by going to:
Foxiz > Light Views Counter > Supported Post Types, and make sure that Post is selected.

Hope this can help you. If the issue persists, please let us know and we will be happy to assist further.

    Kind regards.

Sorry, but did you look at the screenshots? Don’t you see that “view” is activated and correctly entered? Maybe I didn’t make myself clear?

I did review your screenshot. The option shown there is Entry Meta Tags. However, the setting we asked you to use is Custom Key Input, which is located below the option shown in your screenshot.

Could you please check that section again carefully and enter the key there?

    Thank you.

  • Samuele replied

Custom Key Input is for custom values. It has never been filled in, and in the past it always worked. I’m talking about a bug that suddenly appeared over time. I have never changed these settings.

I just need to see the number of visitors—that’s all, it’s simple. Can you help me? I ABSOLUTELY do NOT want these to be customizable or manual values. They must be actual and automated.

  • Samuele replied

I just entered them, and they are now visible. But why did they disappear? How were they deleted!?

  • Samuele replied

Never mind. I’m sorry, but something is not right. (See screenshot) This is an article that has been viewed more than 500 times, and the views are still not showing. Can you please check?

Not only is the counter not working, but now there is another malfunction: it does not appear on all “single” posts—some show it, some don’t, and when it does appear, it only shows “1.” I am really disappointed and frustrated. I can’t believe this.

We have checked the settings on your website and the view counter is now displaying correctly.

Please note that since the site is now using a new view counter plugin, the system will start tracking views from the moment it is activated. Because of this, the counter may begin from a lower number and will increase naturally over time as real users visit and read the posts.

We also tested it on our side and confirmed that the view count increases automatically when a post is opened, which means the tracking is working properly.

Everything is functioning normally, automatically, and no manual input is required. We recommend monitoring it for the next few days as the numbers continue to grow with real traffic.

    Kind regards.

We have already migrated the data from your previous Post View Counter plugin, so the current view count should now match your original data.

Please check again on your side and let us know how it looks.

    Kind regards.

    Yes, it works. Thank you.

  • Samuele replied

Should I leave these or can I remove them? They weren’t there before. I added them earlier with you for testing.

We recommend keeping the settings as they are currently configured. Everything is working properly and the system is fully automated, so there is no need to make any further changes in this section.

Please don’t worry, everything should continue running normally.

    Kind regards.

  • Samuele replied

    Okay, thank you.

  • Samuele replied

“No. Unfortunately, it’s not working. It doesn’t count. It got stuck at 121. I also tested it with two other PCs, and nothing worked; it stays stuck at 121. It’s not working. There’s still something wrong.”

  • Samuele replied

“Let me know if you want the credentials again.”

  • Samuele replied

Sorry are you there? The problem has not been fixed, is till there. Numbers are not changing but stuck! Please help!

  • Samuele replied

Sorry, I really need to fix this as soon as possible! Is not working! Help.

  • Samuele replied

I hope you won’t leave me in this situation for the entire weekend. I paid for support in order to resolve this issue for my client by today. Since I have paid, I don’t think it’s fair not to receive a timely response, especially considering that the problem has not been resolved at all today.

Could you please provide an urgent update and help fix this issue? We have other projects to move forward with, and I cannot keep being stuck on this problem with the view counter numbers being blocked.

The situation is quite frustrating, and I would really appreciate your prompt assistance.

  • Samuele replied

It is still an “unstable” system, and it does not guarantee stability for the future. Therefore, I ask you to provide and implement a definitive solution that can reassure me and function efficiently.

We have carefully checked the view counter on your website and can confirm that it is working correctly.

For example, the post that was previously showing 121 views yesterday is now showing 123 views, which indicates that the counter is updating normally.

Please note that the system is designed to count only one view per user/IP for a specific post. This means if the same user refreshes or revisits the post multiple times from the same IP address, it will not increase the view count again. This is intended behavior to prevent inaccurate view inflation.

Based on our tests, the feature is functioning properly and we have not observed any issues. It is also working normally for other users of the theme.

Please try accessing the post from a different device or network if you would like to test the counter again.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Regrads.

  • Samuele replied

No, that’s not true. I’ve also tried using different devices, connecting from different IP addresses, and the number still remains stuck at 123. It does not increase. I have done every possible test imaginable and cleared the cache multiple times. It’s not working.

Moreover, using yet another MacBook Air with Safari, and then with Firefox, the view count is still frozen — and this happens not only with this post, but with all posts. The counter is not functioning. I hope I’ve made myself clear.

We will forward this issue to our development team for further investigation. Since it is currently outside our working hours and the weekend for our team, they will review it in the next few hours once they are back online.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding. We truly appreciate it.

    Best regards.

  • Samuele replied

Alright. I kindly ask you to address this as soon as possible, as I urgently need to resolve this issue. It was working perfectly before. The counter is a fundamental element of the theme we purchased, which is why we also urgently opted to pay for extended support. Clearly, this was intended to solve the problem that still hasn’t been resolved. I am eagerly awaiting a definite, reliable, and concrete resolution to this issue.

  • Samuele replied

Good morning. I now need a definitive and urgent response for the client, as I cannot provide a service that is not functioning. Please provide assistance and a reply as soon as possible.

  • Samuele replied

As you can also clearly see, the meter number is stuck at 123. We are waiting for your assistance, as we cannot proceed with other posts until this issue is definitively resolved.

    Theme Ruby replied

We have adjusted the Scroll Threshold setting to 0 for you. This means that a view will now be counted immediately when a visitor opens the post, without requiring the user to scroll down the page.

Please also note that the view counter is designed to prevent repeated counts from the same visitor within a short period of time. Once a visitor has been counted as one view, that same visitor will need to return to the post again after 24 hours for another view to be recorded. This helps ensure the view statistics remain accurate and avoids artificially inflated numbers.

The same rule applies to all visitors accessing the post.

We hope this clarifies how the view counting system works. Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Kind regards.

  • Samuele replied

    Dear Support Team,

I’m sorry, but what you described is not what is actually happening. The system is not working.

I have tested the issue using more than one PC, and the counter is currently stuck at 126. It does not change at all when a visitor opens the article immediately, even without scrolling down the page. So the setting you mentioned is clearly not functioning as expected.

Please check the screenshot I attached: I tested it with multiple computers and the number remains stuck.

I need this to be restored to perfect working order as it was before, and urgently. My client is already raising concerns about this issue, and I cannot face these problems because of a malfunction on your side.

I hope I have been clear. I have been waiting for assistance since last week.

I also ask you to review another article (see the attached screenshot). It has been tested for about a week now and the counter is stuck at 155.

In short, it is not working and it needs to be fixed.

I look forward to your prompt resolution.

I have just noticed that the counter only changes when the entire article is read, meaning the page has to be scrolled all the way down for the counter to increase.

I want it to work as it did before. What matters to us are the clicks, meaning the views when someone opens the article. No one is going to scroll all the way down the page.

I look forward to your urgent response.

  • Samuele replied

Sorry, but we are still waiting from an answer to solve the problem from you. Please need to solve. Thank you.

  • Samuele replied

Request for Immediate Technical Resolution and Support.

    Dear Support Team,

I would like to communicate, with the utmost clarity and respect, the urgency of the situation I am currently facing. Despite my repeated efforts to engage constructively and seek a collaborative resolution, the issue concerning the platform remains unresolved after several days—including the entirety of today.

    To ensure full transparency:

    • I have already invested €50.00 for an extended support service, expecting timely and effective assistance.
    • The issue persists consistently across multiple devices.
    • The system remains locked at a value of 128, and the only way to increase it requires entering the article and scrolling to the bottom—a functionality that differs significantly from the one previously available.

This change critically impacts usability, as it no longer allows for an accurate understanding of how many visitors have accessed an article, even at a basic click level, as was previously the case.

I must emphasize that this situation is now causing tangible operational difficulties, preventing me from responding efficiently to my own client. As a result, what began as a technical inconvenience is evolving into a potential financial and professional liability.

With this in mind, I kindly but firmly request the following:

    • A complete and effective technical resolution of the issue
    • Confirmation that the paid support service is being fully honored

Deadline: I respectfully ask that this matter be resolved by the end of tomorrow.

Should I not receive a satisfactory response within this timeframe, I will be compelled to proceed with a formal complaint, including a request for reimbursement—not only for the support extension but also for additional costs incurred due to the disruption caused.

Please understand that this message is sent in the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect. I remain confident in your ability to assist and sincerely hope we can resolve this matter promptly and amicably.

Thank you in advance for your attention and support.
